About the Role:



We are seeking an experienced

Accountant

to support the full accounting cycle and play a key role in financial reporting, cost accounting, and process improvement. Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys working in an innovative manufacturing environment and balancing strategic support with operational execution.

Please note, this is an in-office position and is currently based out of our head office at 21 State Crown Boulevard, Scarborough ON M1V 4B1. However, we will be relocating to a new facility in Newmarket, ON in Spring 2026.

Key Responsibilities

:

Support all accounting operations, including A/R, A/P, payroll, general ledger, and month-end/year-end close Prepare timely and accurate monthly financial statements, variance analysis, and management reports for the CFO and senior leadership team Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning in collaboration with the CFO Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and statutory reporting requirements Coordinate the year-end audit and act as a key liaison with external accountants and advisors Develop and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures appropriate for a manufacturing environment Monitor inventory valuation, cost accounting, and production-related financial metrics Support pricing analysis, margin analysis, and operational cost controls Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within accounting operations Provide analytical support to the CFO on financial strategy, risk management, and business initiatives

Qualifications & Experience:



Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field CPA designation (or near completion) strongly preferred 3-5 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, ideally within manufacturing or a similar operational environment Experience working in a small to medium-sized organization with hands-on responsibilities Experience with the CRA Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) program an asset Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and manufacturing processes Proficiency with accounting/ERP systems and advanced Excel skills Strong attention to detail with the ability to think strategically Excellent communication skills and ability to partner with operations and leadership Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
