job description Staff Accountant Position Full Time Armada Mortgage Corporation (MIC) is an Independent Mortgage Lender, Investment Manager and Mortgage Brokerage. We are located in a new, sunny, office building with a view in Langley near the freeway and the Golden Ears Bridge. We underwrite, arrange, and lend on mortgages, as well as Distribute & manage the sales of a Preferred shares investment product to our shareholders through Armada Wealth Management. This Industry accounting role includes a variety of tasks, making the position interesting and challenging. This is an in-office role. Tasks include but are not limited to:
Office Closed Weekends, Stat. Holidays, Closed between Christmas and New Year

- Bank Reconciliations
- Administration on mortgages including setting up and posting new mortgages and processing mortgage payouts.
- Quarter End Financial Statements and Reporting
- Year End T5\xe2\x80\x99s
- Prepare reports for Quarterly Board meetings
- Prepare for annual audits
- Preparing monthly and posting dividend payments and accruals
- A variety of other accounting and administrative tasks related to the position
- Post-Secondary Accounting Degree or Diploma Minimum
- Excel (including graphing, pivot tables, etc.)
- Ability to develop custom reports as needed
- Bookkeeping
- QuickBooks Desktop
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Accuracy and attention to detail is a must
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Must be reliable and punctual
