Accountant

for a maternity leave.

Key responsibilities include:

Responsible for coding invoices and for reviewing weekly Accounts Payable to ensure coding is accurate. Process and balance bank deposits and daily cash receipts. Create/review journal entries to ensure revenue transferred from billing software to accounting software is accurate. Provide backup to Accounting Clerk for accounts payable processing. Provide support to users of the billing system by creating charges and credit codes. Prepare monthly invoices for some vendors. Prepare and email out to management monthly customer numbers. Must be capable of undertaking assigned projects and some analysis
Education:

v College diploma or University Degree specializing in Accounting.

Computer Knowledge:

v Proficiency in Windows-based programs - Excel, Word, Internet Explorer, Outlook. Experience in an Accounting program.

Experience:

v One to three years in a general accounting position an asset.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 18 months

Pay: $21.50-$29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
