Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detailed-oriented Bookkeeper / Accountant to join our team handling bank, account payables transactions and maintaining finance records. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting principles and maintaining accurate accounting records.

Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping and Record-Keeping
- accurately record and classify bank transactions
- maintain accounting records
- reconcile general ledgers, bank accounts, credit cards

Bank and Account Payable
- perform bank reconciliation
- keep track of bank balances and make transfer between entities/bank accounts
- account payables functions
- maintain suppliers' and major payment schedules
- handle miscellaneous invoice payments and employee reimbursements

Fixed Assets, prepayment and accruals
- maintain fixed asset, prepayment and accrual listing
- prepare monthly amortization bookings
- prepare related account balance schedules

Inventory
- record inventory in transit
- reconcile inventory received

Payroll
- maintain Max employee records
- verify employees' working hours, holiday hours and pay payroll remittance

Ad hoc tasks

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or related field. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards and regulatory compliance Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, QB experience an asset Integrity and detailed oriented Teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments Proficiency in English and Chinese Positive attitude, willingness to learn, punctuality and solid work ethic

Additional Information

Full-time permanent position

The candidate must be available from Monday to Friday 9:00AM - 5:30PM and weekends when necessary
