Job Description

The Accountant broad responsibilities involve invoice processing, keeping financial records updated, preparing reports and reconciling bank statements, account reconciliations, assist in audit work etc.

Ensure vendor balances are up to date, handle Accounts payable for assigned vendors, ensure invoices posted in time, reconcile balances with vendor account statements etc. Perform the bank reconciliation on a regular basis as per department policies. Assist with other responsibilities in Accounting dept like posting Customer receipts, AR followups etc. as assigned from time to time. Complete various month-end tasks including accruals, maintaining support schedules, account reconciliations, WSIB/HST submissions, expense accruals, and other month-end tasks. Maintain the internal cost excels and rebate tracking spreadsheets and reconciled Perform payroll reconciliations and post bi-weekly payments. Prepare various reports for customers, vendors, banks and others as required. Support the inventory control process and reconciliations. Assist with the external audit on sample submissions etc. Assist with balance sheet reconciliations or other analytical works as required from time to time. Assist with any other adhoc responsibilities as assigned with in the Accounting Dept.
Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of accounting experience. Degree in Accounting or Business degree. Advanced Excel user with experience in pivot tables and filters. Previous experience or Knowledge of Microsoft D365 F&O is a plus. Previous experience in food manufacturing/processing industry will be an added advantage Positive attitude, ability to self-manage and work independently. Strong problem-solving skills. Effective communications skills with individuals at all levels of the organization. Should be hands on and team member.

Pay: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
