About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized full-time Accountant to join our team. This is an ideal opportunity for a detail-oriented, self-motivated professional looking for flexible hours and meaningful work in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
Prepare, review, and file personal and corporate tax returns (T1& T2)
Prepare and file GST filings
Perform minor bookkeeping and account reconciliations for small business clients (primarily QuickBooks Online)
Prepare financial statements for compilations
Assist with CRA correspondence and client inquiries
Support year-end and tax season workflow
Job Requirements:
Minimum 2-3 years' experience in Canadian public accounting firm practice
Strong understanding of Canadian tax (T1 & T2) and accounting standards
Proficient in CaseWare, QuickBooks Online, Profile, and Microsoft Outlook & Excel. JazzIt would be an asset.
Strong attention to detail, time management, and client communication skills
Ability to work within engagement budgets and deadlines
Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies
