Spatial Technologies is an established supplier of measurement solutions to the Western Canada Geomatics, Exploration, Engineering and Construction market. Spatial Technologies provides high quality measurement solutions and machine automation to civil/construction and Surveying firms to improve productivity, efficiency and margins.

About the Role

Spatial Technologies is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to manage our financial operations focusing on cost control, inventory and efficient supply chain finance within a B2B environment, ensuring compliance with Canadian accounting standards (ASPE/IFRS) and tax laws.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting

: Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, management reports, bank reports and variance analysis.

Cost & Inventory Management

: Assist with inventory valuation, COGS analysis and reconciliation; collaborate with operations/supply chain to gather cost data.

Budgeting & Forecasting

: Contribute to annual budgets and forecasts, analyzing variances.

Taxation:

Compute taxes, prepare returns (GST, PST, etc.) and ensure compliance.

Reconciliation:

Perform bank and general ledger reconciliations.

Process Improvement

: Identify and implement internal controls to safeguard Company assets.

Audits

: Support internal and external audits.

Qualifications

Post secondary education in Accounting or Finance Experience with ERP/Accounting Software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) Strong excel skill Knowledge of Canadian accounting standards (ASPE/IFRS) and tax regulations Excellent analytical, communications and organizational skills CPA designation or in progress will be considered an asset Experience in supply chain or distribution will be considered an asset
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $65,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
