Our primary area of expertise lies in:

Compilation engagements for owner-managed private corporations and professional corporations

A small number of review engagements for private owner-managed businesses

Personal and corporate tax returns

Tax planning and advice

We do not perform any audit engagements

The Position

In this role, you will take ownership of your work and make a meaningful impact to our team. Your responsibilities will include:

Preparing financial statements and corporate tax returns.

Preparation or review of personal tax returns prepared by staff.

Preparation or review of various tax forms including T4s and T5s.

There is significant overtime for six weeks starting mid-March, providing an opportunity to showcase your dedication and expertise.

Education and Experience Required

Minimum of one year experience in public accounting, but more would be preferred

Prior experience reviewing personal tax returns would be considered a significant asset

Familiarity with Caseware and Taxprep software will be considered an advantage

Skills Required

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

A positive demeanor coupled with a strong commitment to excellence in work

Superior organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities

Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities

Proficiency in technology, including advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel

Willingness and capacity to work extended hours during the six-week period beginning mid-March, aligning with the demands of the personal tax season.
