We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, performing account reconciliations, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data across various accounting software platforms. Duties
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and PeopleSoft
Perform bank reconciliations and account analysis to ensure accuracy of financial data
Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and budgets for management review
Conduct regular account reconciliation to verify ledger balances against bank statements
Assist with auditing procedures and ensure compliance with financial regulations
Maintain accurate bookkeeping records and update financial databases
Support payroll processing and related tax filings
Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies or areas for cost savings
Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper financial documentation and reporting
Qualifications
Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles, with familiarity in corporate finance practices
Proficiency with accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, and other accounting tools
Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, and account reconciliation processes
Experience with payroll management and budgeting is preferred
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to perform audits and conduct thorough account analysis
Knowledge of financial services regulations and compliance standards
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data effectively
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
