Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to power a secure energy future. Utilities around the world rely on our nuclear fuel products to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. Cameco's corporate office is based in Saskatoon. We have mining operations and projects in northern Saskatchewan, Kazakhstan, the United States and Australia. We are also a leading supplier of uranium refining, conversion, and fuel manufacturing services from our operations in Ontario.


The Role





Cameco has an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join a highly skilled group in support of the corporation's financial reporting. Working within a team of professionals, you will undertake various types of analytical and reporting activities and collaborate with stakeholders from various corporate departments.


In this role, you will:



Participate in the monthly close, including the completion of monthly schedules and reconciliations. Execute financial analysis supporting both internal and external disclosures. Assist in the delivery of ad-hoc deliverables for stakeholders as they arise. Support on-going continuous improvement initiatives and projects as required, including proactively participating in the identification and development of efficient, value-added processes.


Required:




Bachelor's degree in commerce, accounting, finance or a related field; Five to eight years of relevant work experience; Canadian Professional Accounting designation (CPA); Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills; Strong knowledge of consolidation and accounting principles (IFRS).



Recommended:




Ability to prioritize assignments, manage deadlines and organize work independently; Experience using ERP software (SAP S/4HANA) and consolidation systems (Group Reporting); Proactive approach to potential improvements; Approach that focuses on the details with the ability to consider the bigger picture; and Results oriented, proactive with a mindset of continuous improvement.
