Our client is one of Western Canada\'s largest privately-held insurance brokerages with over 180 people across six locations. With experienced professionals providing expert advice on insurance, surety, warranty, and risk management services; our client has built long-lasting positive relationships with clients for over 40 years.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As an Account Manager/Marketer in the commercial lines team, you will work closely with the Principal out of our clients\' Surrey office. This is a mixed role where the ideal candidate will provide top tier service for client retention by actively servicing client needs as well as successfully placing risks with the various insurers used by our client.

ABOUT THE POSITION

• Securing maximum retention of an existing book of business by providing exceptional client service
• Organize and attend internal renewal strategy meetings
• Respond to client inquiries in a prompt manner via email and phone calls
• Ensure timely preparation of client service documents such as (summaries of insurance, client proposals, invoicing underwriting submissions, etc.)
• Maintain monthly expiry lists including following up on project deadlines
• Monitoring abeyances and outstanding information
• Liaising with marketing on placements, renewals, and midterm policy changes
• Market small-mid policies on small-mid sized policies of the book
• Provide bid-costing for all clients prior to tender closings and recommend coverage
• Follow up with Client Executive and work with clients on accounts receivables
• Maintain education credits for licensing
• Other duties and special projects as requested

REQUIREMENTS

• At least 5 years\' experience in commercial insurance (construction experience is an asset)
• Level-2 License with industry designations (CAIB, CIP, etc.) as assets
• Exceptional organization skills with high attention to detail
• Experience with EPIC is a bonus!
• Great sense of business acumen
• Must be able to thrive in a team-based environment

COMPENSATION

• Competitive base salary of $75,000 to $85,000
