Job Summary



The Account Manager - Remote
develops action plans to implement Foodbuy programs and processes that help assigned sectors purchase the products they need to run their business. This will include analyzing the sectors\xe2\x80\x99 business needs and product requirements, implementing changes, reviewing financial results, compliance management, managing and improving processes and more.
Now, if you were to come on board as one of our Account Managers \xe2\x80\x93 Remote, we\xe2\x80\x99d ask you to do the following for us:
  • Analyze data and information from multiple sources to determine sectors\xe2\x80\x99 business needs, requirements, and potential opportunities
  • Ability to interpret data and analytics to communicate meaningful business insights both internally and externally
  • Be held responsible for the profitability of your portfolio
  • Understand and apply financial data to support business strategy and requirements
  • Work collaboratively to prepare the annual budget targets and be responsible for generating the plan and execution of the plan to achieve the targets
  • Influence and enforce compliance to Foodbuy programs thereby avoiding spend leakage on non-approved products/suppliers/services
  • Build meaningful strategic relationships with middle to senior level decision-makers in purchasing and operations. Respond to and anticipate the client\xe2\x80\x99s needs and excel at meeting those needs.
  • Develop and grow the business with identified accounts through behavioral influence and effective relationship building; identify opportunities, lead the analysis process, and prepare presentations
  • Consolidate and strategize on a broad range of account activities, including client business expansion, menu engineering, business goals, etc
  • Report monthly on client participation in programs
  • Provide supervision, direction, and coaching to direct reports to complete projects to grow the business

  • Five years\xe2\x80\x99 industry experience (foodservice or purchasing preferred)
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in business-related studies
  • Demonstrated ability to influence growth with internal and/or external clients
  • Analytical and logical thinking ability as well as proven time management skill
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to work in a leadership role, with little supervision, within a high performing team, adding to a positive, proactive departmental focus
  • Able to handle job-related stress and prioritize effectively, particularly with respect to meeting multiple deadlines and managing clients and Compass teams
  • Facilities, logistics and remote business knowledge/background is an asset
  • Bilingual in English and French is an asset
