Join us!Job SummaryThe Account Manager is responsible for identifying and pursuing opportunities with new and existing customers. The incumbent asks customers pertinent questions in order to understand their transportation needs and match them to CN\'s service delivery capabilities. The position stays abreast of competitive developments in customers\' markets and seeks opportunities for growth.Main Responsibilities\xc2\xb7 Manage commercial aspects of several key customers\xc2\xb7 Develop account growth strategies for customers and maintain existing relationships\xc2\xb7 Create strategies for new business development, including prospecting, cold calling, and sales pipeline management\xc2\xb7 Deliver yearly revenue and price targets in alignment with the Company\'s objectives\xc2\xb7 Collaborate with operations personnel to identify available capacity for opportunistic selling to improve overall yield and asset utilization\xc2\xb7 Cross-sell the full suite of the organization\'s transportation services\xc2\xb7 Address any potential service issues with operations personnel proactively\xc2\xb7 Develop a reliable monthly revenue and volume forecast\xc2\xb7 Contract renewals and regular negotiations\xc2\xb7 Act as a Safety advocate with customer base in accordance with CN\'s values\xc2\xb7 Maintain compliance and reporting Safety incidents internallyWorking ConditionsThe role has standard working conditions in an office environment with a regular workweek from Monday to Friday. Due to the nature of the role, the incumbent must be able to meet tight deadlines, handle pressure, and stress. The role requires regular travel .RequirementsExperienceSales or Marketing\xc2\xb7 Minimum 5 years of experience in sales or marketing, preferably in transportation and logistics serviceso Experience in major contract negotiationsEducation/Certification/Designation\xc2\xb7 Bachelor\'s or Master\'s Degree in Commerce, Marketing, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalentCompetencies\xc2\xb7 Demonstrates active listening\xc2\xb7 Collaborates with others and shares information\xc2\xb7 Solves problems to create value\xc2\xb7 Communicates with impact\xc2\xb7 Knows the business and stays current on industry needs\xc2\xb7 Applies critical thinking\xc2\xb7 Fluently bilingual both written and verbal (English, French)**Any skills/attributes for these above would be considered as an assetTechnical Skills/Knowledge\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of rail or other transportation services\xc2\xb7 Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word), including SalesForce, Tableau, and Power BI\xc2\xb7 Negotiation and time management skills\xc2\xb7 Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneouslyAbout CNCN is a world-class transportation leader and trade-enabler.
