Job Description

We are seeking an Account Executive to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a communications professional who is passionate about media relations, brand building, and client service.

The successful candidate will have 1-3 years of public relations experience at an agency, or similar fast-paced work environment.

Role Overview

The Account Executive (AE) plays a key role in supporting the success of client programs and campaigns at Harbinger. Acting as a reliable and proactive team member, the AE helps manage day-to-day account activities, builds media and influencer relationships, drafts and distributes communications materials, supports on-site at activations and ensures the smooth execution of PR initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to grow their skills in media relations, influencer engagement, and client service. The AE collaborates closely with Client Service Managers/Account Managers and Directors, contributing creative ideas and strong execution to deliver measurable results for clients.



Key Responsibilities

Client Service & Account Support

Serve as a day-to-day contact for client accounts, supporting senior team members in delivering high-quality programs. Manage timelines, deliverables, and account administration to ensure smooth execution of campaigns. Contribute to client presentations, reports, and strategic planning.

Media & Influencer Relations

Research and build media and influencer lists tailored to client sectors. Draft and distribute press materials including pitches, media kits, and press releases. Pitch media, track coverage, and foster positive relationships with journalists, influencers and other key contributors/content creators. Support influencer identification, outreach, and campaign management, with support from the Influencer Marketing team.

Content Development

Write engaging content for media materials, digital/social channels, and client reporting. Support the creation of influencer briefs, campaign recaps, and editorial calendars.

Campaign Execution & Events

Assist with event/activation planning and execution (media & influencer events, consumer activation, etc.) Coordinate product mailers, influencer/press kits, and campaign logistics. Monitor campaign performance and compile results into client-ready reports.

Team & Administrative Support

Provide day-to-day support to Client Service Managers/Directors. Provide coaching and effective delegation to Account Coordinators. Participate in internal brainstorms, sharing creative ideas that help drive and amplify client strategy. Support new business opportunities with research and creative inputs. Stay on top of social trends, industry updates and competitive activity.

Qualifications

1-3 years of relevant experience in PR, communications or marketing (previous agency experience required). Strong writing and communication skills with attention to detail. Experience working with media databases and social tools (i.e. Meltwater, MRP, Cision, CreatorIQ or similar platforms). Demonstrated ability to build media and influencer relationships. Highly organized, proactive, accountable and able to manage multiple priorities. A creative thinker with an eye for trends and storytelling opportunities.
