Overview

IDC is seeking an Account Executive who is core to a team of smart, hungry, customer-oriented sales professionals. Reporting into the VP of Sales, the Account Executive reaches out to Canada\xe2\x80\x99s IT Vendor and End User communities on a daily basis to uncover their diverse needs in the areas of Market Research, Business Planning, Go to Market Strategies, Sales/Channel Enablement and Custom Consulting initiatives. Our Customer facing teams are not only proven hunters but understand IDC\xe2\x80\x99s Vision of providing an exceptional customer experience to clients and prospects with every single interaction.

The Account Executive will introduce IDC to new prospects and will have consultative discussions with some of IDC Canada\'s most valued customers. This is the perfect role for a person motivated by the art of prospecting, who is a consummate student and enjoys meeting new people every day.

Responsibilities

  • Uses a collaborative business plan to establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts and named prospects
  • Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and customers\xe2\x80\x99 expectations
  • Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts
  • Proactively leads a joint company-strategic account planning process that develops organizational accountabilities, financial targets, and critical milestones on a quarterly and annual period
  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis
  • Proactively maintains progress within Salesforce.com
  • Leads solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel
  • Provides feedback to IDC Canada Analyst teams to ensure the absolute relevance of IDC products and services
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s Degree or equivalent experience. Degree or diploma in Sales, Business, Marketing a plus
  • 3+ years of B2B Sales
  • Marketing experience a plus
  • Driven daily by Success
  • Hunter with the ability to maintain high daily sales activity levels
  • Team player who loves to collaborate
  • Experience with Salesforce.com preferred
  • The ideal candidate will be based in IDC\'s Toronto office, however, we will consider qualified candidates located in an approved remote location in Canada
