Job Title: Account Executive (Sales) - Global Freight Forwarding
Job Summary
This role will be responsible for engaging with both new and existing customers, with a specific focus on Air and Ocean Freight Forwarding services. The individual will work to understand customer needs, provide tailored sales solutions, and ensure a high level of service delivery throughout the freight forwarding process. Targeting, securing, and onboarding new customers will be a key KPI for this role.
The successful candidate will identify customer logistics needs, present customized freight solutions, and drive revenue growth through strategic selling and account management. Responsibilities include prospecting new business opportunities, collaborating with operations to ensure seamless execution of freight forwarding shipments.
A strong understanding of global trade, transportation regulations, and customer service excellence will be key to success in this role.

A. Business Development
Develop and implement outbound sales and business development strategies specific to the Air and Ocean target market.
Help create and prioritize strategic target account lists.
Generate new leads, identify, and contact decision-makers, screen potential business opportunities, and populate a sales tracker.
Research and build new and existing accounts (adding new leads/contacts, sending emails, and strategic cold calling).
Conduct cold-calling and warm-calling campaigns.
Maintain pipeline call tracker for weekly reporting. Sales pipeline meetings.
Conduct high-level conversations with Senior Executives on prospective accounts.
Mine, validate, and close leads coming into FMi from website enquiries.
Set up a new client onboarding meeting with the assigned operations team to "hand off" the client.
Achieve monthly quotas of qualified opportunities and close ratios.
Manage proposal response process, including detailed RFP requirements and content creation with inputs from various internal and external sources.
B) Strategic Market Analysis and Planning
Be able to assess global market trends, identify potential opportunities, and develop comprehensive sales strategies.
Must have foresight, meticulous planning, and the agility to adapt strategies in response to market fluctuations.
Must Master this skill to be able to anticipate market needs and guide the sales team towards achieving local and international sales targets.
You Know & Have These Things Already
1. Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business, Logistics, or a related field (equivalent work experience may be considered).
Solid sales performer with at least 3-5 years of successful sales records, specifically in Air and Ocean Freight Forwarding.
Turn on that ability to tap into global opportunities while working alongside freight forwarding operations.
Specific Logistics, supply chain, or Freight knowledge - Supply chain education & knowledge is considered of great value.
Minimum 3 years' experience in using CRM and prospecting tools.
Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle for client visits.
Current CIFFA Certification is a benefit.
Experience in working remotely.
