Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Partnerships & Tenant Relations, the Account Executive, Corporate Partnerships will generate incremental revenue for Regina Exhibition Association Limited (REAL) by developing new business through sales of corporate and major event sponsorships, partnerships, advertising, and premium seat opportunities and assets. WHAT YOU WILL DO 1. Participating in the development of sponsorship and advertising business plans by:
  • Contributing to the development, implementation, and continued monitoring of department benchmarks and standards, as well as internal customer service benchmarks and standards
  • Ensuring that department policies and procedures are always followed and adhered to constructively providing feedback and correcting performance to ensure compliance; recommends policy and procedural revisions.
  • Assisting in developing and implementing workplace safety plans and training designed to identify and mitigate facility safety hazards and ensure that they are corrected in a timely manner.
2. Establishing and maintaining strong long-term relationships with potential business opportunities and identifying future growth opportunities to generate increased and profitable revenue growth by:
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with important decision-makers at companies\xe2\x80\x99 agencies in a variety of business categories within the corporate community.
  • Managing existing clients to ensure effective customer relationship management.
  • planning persuasive approaches and pitches that will convince potential clients to do business with the company.
  • Assisting in the planning and preparing of account presentations under the direction of, or in conjunction with the Manager, Corporate Partnerships & Tenant Relations.
  • Collaborating with sponsors to plan strategies and packages that meet the sponsor\xe2\x80\x99s needs and requirements.

3. Ensures effective business unit financial planning by:
  • Contributing to the development of the department\xe2\x80\x99s annual budget (capital and financial), responsible for monitoring quarterly financial statements and forecasting/implementing appropriate expenditure controls to manage costs.
  • Approving expenses and invoices from suppliers within signing authority parameters and determines charges for services requested, collects deposits and payments, and prepares billing for Finance.
  • Recommending changes in direction or priorities during the business year; provide direction for necessary modifications to the business plan or operating budgets as required during the fiscal year.

4. Contributes to the development of strong teams to carry out business unit strategies by:
  • Ensuring the corporate values/standards of business conduct/human resource philosophy is understood, embraced and implemented throughout the team; and personally demonstrate them in daily interactions and relationships.
Performs other duties on an as and when required basis. *Hours may vary based on operation requirements; Works undefined hours and during events, will be required to work long hours often in the evenings and/or weekends* Requirements WHAT IT TAKES Apply today if you meet the following requirements: Education and Experience
  • A Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce or a related field or a combination of related education, training and experience is required.
  • Certifications in sales training courses are an asset.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of demonstrated experience in the sale of sponsorship and/or advertising with a proven record of accomplishment in meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Proven track record of developing and building new business relationships that produce profitable financial results.
  • Experience developing budgets, forecasting, and writing sales proposals.
  • Computer proficiency with experience using computer software, email, and Microsoft Office Products (especially Word and Excel) as well as customer relationship management systems.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with hospitality, conference, tradeshow or large event sales experience in the hospitality, sports, entertainment, or tourism sectors.
