The Davis Media Company is an innovative publishing company that partners with non-profit organizations across North America to deliver industry-leading print and online communications.
We are expanding our team of Account Executives and are looking for motivated self-starters to collaborate with both our advertising clients and executive team to build customized marketing campaigns through our print and digital properties. In this role, you'll sign new clients, design marketing campaigns, and produce innovative publications delivered to tens of thousands of people across North America.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
As an Account Executive, you will play a pivotal role in our sales efforts by inheriting a small portfolio of existing clients while also driving new business. This is a fast-paced, dynamic role where you will be selling advertising across five magazine titles and their associated digital communications simultaneously in any given week. You'll need to be skilled at prospecting new advertising clients through phone and email outreach, with a daily call minimum of 40-60 calls.
You will be resourceful in finding new leads that will benefit from being featured in our media, helping to determine the ideal companies to prospect. Through consistent daily outreach, you will work diligently throughout each sales campaign to close new advertising accounts as required to meet your publication sales targets. You'll also manage relationships with your existing advertising clients, collaborating with them to grow campaigns year over year. Additionally, you will actively work with our design, production, and digital departments to ensure your clients' brands are best represented in our publications and digital platforms.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
We're seeking a resourceful hunter with expert time management skills, an ambitious mindset, and a strong focus on new business development. Experience in meeting and exceeding sales targets is crucial for this role. You'll need the drive and initiative to prospect, pitch, and close new advertising clients for our print and digital publications. You must be able to work independently in a remote setting, operate with high levels of professionalism, and handle tasks without distractions during office hours (8:30 am - 5:00 pm CST).
Strong client management skills are essential, as you'll be trusted with important marketing investments that require attention to detail and a consultative approach. You should have the ability to build trust and long-lasting relationships with clients.
DAILY ACTIVITIES:
Prospecting and signing new advertising clientele through targeted phone and email outreach (40-60 calls per day).
Designing and pitching marketing campaigns to media buyers.
Managing existing advertising clientele to grow their campaigns year over year.
Collaborating with design, production, and digital departments to deliver high-quality advertising solutions.
Tracking your progress toward goals and maintaining awareness of your targets, along with a plan to achieve them.
Managing your pipeline and schedule using our CRM and Google Workspace tools.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Self-motivated, driven, and eager to learn.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Previous sales and/or marketing experience.
Experience working directly with clients on marketing campaigns.
A post-secondary degree in communications, business, or a related field is considered an asset, but not required.
