altavia.cloudraker is looking for an Account Director, Health to join our team. Our ideal candidate is someone who is well established in client services and has experience growing a large client portfolio, preferably with health/pharma industry experience, familiar with the unique regulations in the category (and how to navigate them); someone who never backs down from a good challenge.

They are passionate about and are a master at strategic thinking and in helping their team find creative solutions that push the boundaries in HCP and DTC marketing. They are enthusiastic about working alongside subject matter experts in business strategy, human centred design, technology and data to inform the best solutions for their clients/partners. They have a solid understanding of digital delivery and best practices.

This role is about more than just managing clients and a team. It involves caring about your clients and knowing their business needs inside and out, and always being ready to provide proactive solutions to problems and identifying opportunities.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • As a member of the altavia.cloudraker Advisory Team, you will partner with other advisors in the group and with the SME concept and delivery teams to position a brand, drug or portfolio in a competitive landscape, demonstrating strong strategic thinking to clients;
  • Lead the development of programmatic marketing plans with clients, and mentor your health team members to develop and hone this skill;
  • Oversee and provide feedback to health team members delivery work in progress as required and ensure that they meet project objectives, and exceed client expectations;
  • Submissions and oversight on PAAB & AdStandards submissions
  • Oversee and provide feedback for content creation in support of various to market programs and products;
  • Engage with executive level client stakeholders to grow the business, create opportunities and ensure relationships are positive and managed appropriately;
  • Work with the Project Management Group and other SME teams (strategy, UX, creative, tech and media) to better processes and workflow to meet client expectations;
  • Be available to and support escalations from the health team and/or other SME teams with respect to client interactions and/or deliverables;
  • Identify opportunities for brands to play a bigger role in the healthcare landscape;
  • Think outside the box and challenge our clients to step out of their comfort zones to create memorable experiences for their audiences;
  • Stay informed about new trends and the best work in the advertising and pharmaceutical fields;
  • Lead or participate in meetings/strategic planning sessions and tactical sessions as required to ensure that brand strategic imperatives are aligned with tactical deliverables;
  • Help educate the rest of the agency about the pharmaceutical industry and its regulations;
  • Onboard new team members and/or coordinate their onboarding and evolve training processes.
You have:
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Must have excellent/deep understanding and experience in the Canadian pharmaceutical industry's regulatory environment, including but not limited to PAAB & AdStandards, as well as internal Medical, Legal, and Regulatory approvals (VVPM)
  • Previous experience managing a team of at least 3-4 people (preferred)
  • Experience working on Pharmaceutical accounts (agency or client-side, preferred);
  • PAAB and ASC experience (preferred);
  • Experience managing 360 DTC/HCP experiences;
  • Experience managing large portfolios in different categories;
  • Excellent communication skills in English (and French if possible);
  • A passion for staying informed about web, mobile, digital and traditional media trends;
