Position Description

Division of Nephrology Department of Paediatrics Hospital for Sick Children Effective October 1, 2022, a full-time permanent faculty position as an Academic Clinician is available in the Division of Nephrology, Department of Paediatrics, at the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), 555 University Ave., Toronto, ON which is an academic health science centre dedicated to the care of children; affiliated with the University of Toronto. The division encompasses all aspects of clinical paediatric nephrology, together with a large fellowship training program, as well as basic and clinical research interests. Applicants will be expected to participate actively in the clinical, educational, and research activities of the program. The division would benefit from paediatric nephrologists with experience or interest in dialysis, however all interested qualified candidates are encouraged to apply for this position. The successful candidate will be eligible for an academic appointment at the University of Toronto. Rank and salary ($215,000 – 280,000) per annum will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The successful candidate will be eligible for a benefits package which includes medical, dental, life insurance, long term disability insurance, group insurance, pension plan, vision care, academic allowance, and a relocation package. All candidates must be able to function proficiently in English, hold an MD, MBBS or the equivalent thereto and be certified or eligible for certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or have comparable qualifications. Candidates must hold or be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
