Job Description

American Biaxis Inc. is seeking a Production Team Assistant to join the Production Department based out of Winnipeg on the 12-hour rotating shift. In this role you will assist the operators in the safe operation of the Company's production system and ensure quality and production are maintained.


Key Responsibilities:


• Assist and operate assigned portion of the production plant, with emphasis on the manual aspects associated with the operation of the machine.
• Monitor the production process to ensure that product quality and output targets are met.
• Assist with simple routine maintenance on the machines.
• Complete paperwork, reports, checklists, and log books.
• Responsible for the dismantling and cleaning of production line equipment.
• Operate forklift and/or pallet jack equipment to move materials within the department.


Required Qualifications:


• 1+ years of experience clearly communicating with team members both verbal and written.
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts as required including days, nights, and weekends.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (22.5 kg).
• 6+ months of experience with hand and/or power tools.


Preferred Qualifications:


• 6+ months of experience with equipment and/or machinery (not limited to lawn mowers, forklifts, electric pallet jacks, cranes, balers).
• 6+ months of experience in manufacturing and/or production environment.


Additional Details:


• The Production Team Assistant position is 100% onsite, working on the production floor.
• We are located in Murray Industrial Park. There are limited bus services to this location.
• Parking onsite for no additional costs.


12-Hour Shift Rotation:

• Week 1 - Monday to Thursday 8:00-20:00 (days)
• Week 2 - Friday to Sunday 20:00-8:00 (nights)
• Week 3 - Monday 20:00-8:00 (nights), Friday to Sunday 8:00-20:00 (days)
• Week 4 - Tuesday to Thursday 20:00-8:00 (nights)
