THL Gourmet Foods Inc. is one of the leading importers and distributors of Asian food products from the Pacific Rim and other regions of the world. To fulfill our operational needs, we are currently recruiting a 5-Ton Truck Driver to make local deliveries for our AB division.


Position Summary:


We're looking for a reliable and customer-focused 5-Ton Truck Driver to join our Calgary team! In this role, you'll deliver products to restaurants and grocery stores within Calgary and surrounding areas, with occasional day trips to Edmonton (no overnight routes).


This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being on the road, staying active, and providing great service to customers.


Working Hours:


Monday to Friday, between 8:00am to 6:00pm
40 hours per week
Occasional day trips to Edmonton may required


Responsibilities:


Safely operate a 5-ton straight truck in accordance with company policies and the Motor Vehicle Act
Load and unload products based on delivery schedules (some hand-bombing required)
Deliver goods to restaurants and grocery stores, ensuring accuracy and customer satisfaction
Provide friendly and professional service to clients
Conduct vehicle inspections before each trip and report maintenance needs
Verify inventory and obtain delivery confirmations/signatures from customers
Collect COD payments (cash or cheque) when required
Operate power jacks and lift gates safely and efficiently


Requirements/ Must-Haves:


Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driving abstract
Proven delivery or commercial driving experience
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs
Experience operating lift gates and power jacks
Legally entitled to work in Canada
Basic proficiency in spoken English


Assets/ Nice-to-Haves:


Minimum 2 years of experience operating 5-ton trucks
Familiarity with electric power jacks or hand pump jacks
