Have experience and/or training at the intermediate level in the common prep subject areas such as: ADST / physical literacy / fine art / music / literacy etc.
Have experience and/or training at the intermediate level and at leading a combined grade class
Be able to adapt and modify curriculum and materials to enable students with disabilities and diverse needs to participate meaningfully in the regular classroom
Be committed to work collaboratively with parents, teachers other resource personnel, and school-based teams
Be able to work with students with a variety of behaviors and use positive approaches to support behaviour change
Be committed to and practice the philosophy of inclusion
Have a commitment to the direction of the school as outlined in the School Growth Plan
Embed the First Nations Principles of Learning in all subject areas
Have knowledge and commitment to using current assessment strategies, including formative assessment
Be committed to consultation, parent conferences, and positive home/school/community liaison
Be committed to team teaching with classroom teachers and be able to communicate well in order to establish a consistent culture for learning

SALARY:
The starting annual salary for full-time teaching position ranges from $62,718 to $110,161, with placement on the range based on length of services and qualification in accordance with the collective agreement. Additionally, $3,035 annually as a Remote & Rural Allowance. (July 1, 2025 Salary adjustments will be implemented once the BCTF/BVTU collective agreement has been finalized and ratified by all parties.)
