Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, effective communication skills, and the ability to handle heavy lifting and moving tasks. A background in warehouse operations and forklift operation is a plus.

Responsibilities

Operate commercial vehicles in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations. Ensure the safe loading and unloading of goods, performing heavy lifting as necessary. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel consumption. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety standards are met. Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and forklift operation. Provide excellent customer service by addressing any inquiries or concerns from clients during deliveries.

Experience

Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver's license and appropriate endorsements. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members. Experience in heavy lifting and moving items safely within a warehouse or delivery environment. Familiarity with forklift operation is preferred but not required; training may be provided. Previous experience in customer service roles is advantageous, enhancing the overall delivery experience for clients.
