Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled 5 Ton Truck Driver and Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced seafood processing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating a 5 ton truck (no airbrake) and forklifts and other material handling equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of goods within the facility. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to perform lifting as needed.

Responsibilities

Operate forklifts, including pallet jack, to move materials and products throughout the seafood processing facility Load and unload shipments with precision, ensuring proper handling of goods to prevent damage. Utilize warehouse management systems for tracking inventory and managing order picking processes. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure safety and operational efficiency. Perform lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organized work environment. Assist in inventory counts and cycle counts as necessary.

Experience

Previous experience in operating a 5 ton truck and as warehouse distribution or a similar role is preferred. Proficiency in operating forklifts, including pallet jacks. Strong mechanical knowledge related to material handling equipment is a plus. Basic math skills for inventory management and order processing are essential. Ability to lift heavy loads safely and efficiently while following safety guidelines.
