ATCO Frontec is seeking 3rd/4th Year Apprentice Plumbers to join our ATCO Facilities Solutions team in Calgary AB and in Edmonton AB, working on a project with several properties across the Calgary and Edmonton area.


The Apprentice Plumber is responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance, inspections, modifications, and installation/dismantling of plumbing systems. The successful candidate must be willing to work after hours and on weekends as required. Tools, uniforms, PPE, work cellphone, and a company vehicle will be provided for work duties.

Responsibilities:

Conduct timely inspections, testing, and accurate reporting of equipment defects and deficiencies Replace toilets, bathroom and kitchen sinks, and bathtubs Utilize power auger for toilet, bathtub, and main lines Replace hot water tanks and furnaces (40,000 & 60,000 BTU) Ensure all installations, repairs, and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported, and graded Guarantee all installations, repairs, and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate codes, as well as environmental protection requirements

Qualifications:

Registered 3rd / 4th year Plumber Apprenticeship is required and must be currently active Class 5 license and clean drivers abstract is required Must be able to pass a Drug & Alcohol Test, Fit-to-Work Test, and Extensive Background Check. Must be able to obtain Government Security Clearance. Strong verbal and written communication skills Able to read drawings and blueprints Ability to build and work in a team environment is crucial along with a strong commitment to personal and team safety
