As a 3PL Coordinator at TEAMS Transport, you will play a key role in sourcing and negotiating with carriers to secure reliable, cost-effective transportation solutions. This position is critical to ensuring efficient and on-time freight movement through close coordination with the dispatch team and carrier partners.
While previous experience in the transportation or logistics industry is an asset, it is not required. We are looking for motivated individuals with strong organizational and communication skills. Training will be provided to ensure you are fully prepared to succeed in this role.
Reliability & Onsite Expectations:
This is a full-time, in-office position based in Winnipeg, MB. The successful candidate is expected to be present in the office Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Parking is available on-site for employee convenience. Punctuality and consistent attendance are essential, as this role requires close, real-time collaboration with internal teams and carrier partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with your internal team, including dispatchers, customer service representatives, and other coordinators, to ensure seamless communication and alignment across departments.
Source and secure truck and equipment capacity for freight movements within your assigned region.
Provide accurate and timely rate quotes to Customer Service Representatives.
Negotiate rates and terms with carriers to achieve cost-effective and reliable service.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with carrier partners to build a dependable network.
Prioritize workload based on time sensitivity, customer requirements, and operational impact.
Coordinate closely with the operations team to ensure a seamless transition from booking to execution.
Monitor carrier performance and promptly address service failures, delays, or compliance issues.
Stay informed about market trends and rate fluctuations to support strategic decision-making.
Maintain accurate records of rate agreements, load details, and carrier communications.
Identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency, and process improvement within your region.
Actively participate in team discussions, share relevant updates, and support collective problem-solving to meet customer and operational needs effectively.
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
