The available position is in our 25 child 3-5 program with a team of 3 teachers. Must have a valid Early Childhood Educator Certificate (cannot accept ECEA or RA's for this position.

Job Summary:

Welcome to Tiny Timbers Children's Academy, we are a new Childcare Centre opening in Willowbrook, Langley. We are two moms who wanted to create an environment for children that feels like their home away from home. We are looking for an experienced Early Childhood Educator with over 2 years experience to teach in our 3-5 program. Our approach to early childhood education is rooted in the principles of Emergent curriculum, recognizing that learning emerges naturally when children are engaged in meaningful and authentic experiences. Teachers facilitate learning by creating learning experiences based on children's interests and they provide challenges and activities that foster discovery.

Responsibilities:

Create and implement lesson plans that align with emergent curriculum Provide a safe and supportive environment for children to explore, learn, and socialize Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues Use effective teaching strategies to engage children in learning activities Assess and monitor each child's progress and provide feedback to parents Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive learning environment Follow policies and procedures to ensure proper health, cleanliness, safety, and organization

Skills & Experience

2+ years experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting Good time management skills Excellent written communication skills for documenting children's progress and communicating with parents Strong verbal communication skills to interact with children, parents, and colleagues effectively Organizational skills to maintain an orderly classroom

Requirements:

Valid Early Childhood Educator certificate. We cannot accept ECEA or RA for this position*
Must have valid first aid certificate Criminal Record Check required Proficient technological skills, we will communicate with parents using the Procare App Excellent communication skills Have strong problem-solving skills and strong ability to multi-task

Compensation

We offer 20-25$ an hour plus wage enhancement dependent on education and experience. Benefits including extended health, dental and vision
