Overview

We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, gas, and mechanical maintenance. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining commercial and residential refrigeration, air conditioning and heating systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. The technician will work closely with clients to diagnose issues and provide effective solutions while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain refrigeration, air conditioning and heating systems in residential and commercial settings. Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment. Diagnose mechanical issues and troubleshoot problems effectively. Perform maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems as needed. Collaborate with team members on larger projects, including construction and installation of new systems. Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and requirements. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards during all work activities. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and inventory of parts used.

Skills

Proficient in HVACR systems installation, repair, and maintenance. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in appliance repair and construction-related tasks. Familiarity with plumbing/gas techniques and practices is a plus. Welding skills for metal repairs or modifications may be beneficial. Ability to read schematics and technical drawings effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills for interacting with clients and team members. Previous mechanic experience is preferred but not required.
