Job Description

We are looking for licensed 309A Journeyman Electrician with experience in both residential and commercial settings to join our growing team. This is a unique opportunity to join a service-based contractor where no two days are the same. The role demands the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team, working both indoors and outdoors year-round. Must be able to adapt to a variety of workplace settings, as Merlo conducts a broad range of work in schools, small businesses, private homes, and more. Work is predominantly day shift, with occasional afternoon and night shifts. Journeymen are expected to effectively lead, mentor, and delegate tasks to their electrical apprentices that will work with them on a regular, rotating basis.

Qualifications and Skills

Must have 309A (Construction and Maintenance) Journeyman License, and be in good standing with Skilled Trades Ontario.
Safety Certifications (Working at Heights, Elevated Work Platform, Arc Flash, Confined Space) are an asset.
Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills a must.
Familiarity with job tracking software an asset, but aptitude and willingness to learn new technologies is a must.
