WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO

1. Golf Course Maintenance and Upgrades



Coordinate and assist with day-to-day maintenance activities to ensure the Grounds Department operates efficiently while consistently maintaining championship-level playing conditions. Assist in overseeing nutrient programs, pesticide applications, irrigation system, cultural practices and more. Assist in the preparation and management of the operating budget and five-year capital plan. Assist in the coordination of golf course improvement projects.

2. Team Member Development





Assist in recruiting, coaching, training and supervising the Grounds Maintenance Team to optimum performance while ensuring their safety. Develop and engage the Team with the GolfBC Manifesto. Ensure the Team is scheduled effectively, and payroll completed on time.

3. Guest Experience





Maintain course conditions that exceed Guest expectations. Ensure the Team is knowledgeable and able to answer Guest questions.

WHAT YOU BRING

1+ years of experience

in, and a basic understanding of the golf course industry. Experience with irrigation systems, water management, IPM, nutrient applications is an asset but

not required.

Relevant

education

in Turfgrass Management or related field is an asset but

not required.

Strong

problem solving

, decision making and

organizational skills

. Excellent interpersonal,

leadership

and English communication skills. Familiarity with computers and able to keep up with changing technologies. Able to work in a

fast-paced environment

on a set 5-day work week schedule including one weekend day. Willing to work

hands on
