About the Program

Our

2D/3D Animation and Digital Arts Program

is an intensive, hands-on two-year diploma designed to prepare students for careers in animation, game art, and digital media. Delivered through eight modules and enhanced study projects, the curriculum blends traditional and digital art, technical proficiency in industry-standard tools, and professional career readiness.

Key areas include:

Drawing, storyboarding, and design fundamentals 2D/3D animation, rigging, and technical art Game art and environment asset creation (Unity/Unreal pipelines) Digital sculpting, texturing, lighting, and rendering Professional development, branding, and portfolio/demo reel production
The program operates on an innovative overlapping teaching model, offering two entry points per year. Students also complete

200 hours of On-the-Job Training (OJT)

to gain valuable industry experience.

Position Overview

We are seeking an

Animator / Digital Artist / Creative Professional

with industry experience and a passion for teaching. The successful candidate will:

Deliver instruction across the animation and digital arts pipeline Provide mentorship and professional guidance Help ensure graduates are equipped with the technical skills and career readiness to succeed in animation, gaming, and visual effects
This role also carries responsibility for:

Keeping curriculum current with industry standards Preparing documentation for periodic program re-approvals (typically every five years) Promoting the program and supporting student enrolment growth Building and maintaining industry partnerships
The position is based on an

annualised average of 32 hours per week

. Peak periods may require additional hours, while off-peak periods may require fewer; a time-off-in-lieu policy applies. Job-sharing arrangements will be considered for two compatible applicants.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, prepare, and deliver engaging instruction in 2D/3D animation, digital arts, and related subjects Provide hands-on lab support and project-based mentorship Guide students through critiques, feedback sessions, and art direction Stay current with industry practices, software, and pipelines Support students in preparing for OJT placements and employment Maintain accurate student records and documentation for program approvals Promote the program and contribute to student recruitment Cultivate and sustain positive relationships with industry partners
Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Animation, Digital Arts, Game Art, VFX, or related discipline Minimum

3-5 years of professional experience

in animation, gaming, film, or digital media production Technical proficiency with: Autodesk Maya Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Animate, After Effects, Illustrator) ZBrush Substance 3D Suite (Painter, Designer) Unity and/or Unreal Engine Toon Boom Harmony Marmoset Toolbag GitHub (asset/version management) considered an asset Standard office applications (word processing, spreadsheets, etc.) Strong knowledge of anatomy, design principles, animation techniques, and production workflows Previous teaching, training, or mentoring experience considered a strong asset
