JOB SUMMARY Under the Direct supervision of the Education Manager, the Education & Employment Driver is responsible to safely transport students and transport citizens to and from work in Whitehorse, in and around Carcross/Tagish. The E&E Driver must be flexible and reliable as pick up and drop off days fluctuate with holidays and PD days DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES
  • Responsible for transporting clients to and from work, workshops, training and other educational opportunities.
  • Responsible for reporting any damage or repairs required for the vehicle;
  • Responsible for recording and maintaining an updated log to be turned in monthly;
  • Responsible for getting to and from work on time;
  • Responsible for fueling and general tidiness of the vehicle;
  • Responsible for reporting all incidents/accidents, including behavioral
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (Include the month and year you started and ended a job when you list your work experience. This allows us to accurately calculate the length of time you were in the position.)
    • Knowledge of Yukon First Nations organizations and students
    • Ability to be a role model and foster trust and acceptance within the community
    • Ability to interface/communicate with students and volatile individuals
    • Experience working with youth and adults

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
  • Clean Driver\xe2\x80\x99s Abstract
  • Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector
  • Class 4 Yukon Driver\xe2\x80\x99s License
  • Minimum 5 years driving experience; free of lost demerit points
  • Up-to-date First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain within the 1st month of hire
