Job Description
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Answer emergency-type calls and transfer them to the appropriate downstream agency or dispatching emergency responders;
- In the event of reduced volume, take a variety of telecommunications calls;
- Make sure that the provided information is maintained private and strictly confidential at all times;
- At all times, demonstrate tact and calmness to assist with the request.
What you need to succeed:
- High school diploma or the equivalent;
- Be fluently bilingual (English and French) with excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Active listening skills and ability to manage your stress levels to make the right decisions under pressure;
- Advanced computer skills and ability to use various computer equipment and telephone systems and ability to type precisely.
