Answer emergency-type calls and transfer them to the appropriate downstream agency or dispatching emergency responders;
In the event of reduced volume, take a variety of telecommunications calls;
Make sure that the provided information is maintained private and strictly confidential at all times;
At all times, demonstrate tact and calmness to assist with the request.
Qualifications
What you need to succeed:
High school diploma or the equivalent;
Be fluently bilingual (English and French) with excellent oral and written communication skills;
Active listening skills and ability to manage your stress levels to make the right decisions under pressure;
Advanced computer skills and ability to use various computer equipment and telephone systems and ability to type precisely.
