What We Do

There has never been a more exciting time to be at WAHA. We are an integrated health system providing the full continuum of care to the six communities of the western James Bay coast with over 500 employees, physicians, and partners in care. As a health authority, you will work in a unique setting where you have the opportunity to care for patients in all phases of their life journey, in all areas of their health experience. From Primary, Acute, and Mental Health, Dental, Specialty Clinics, Population Health and the WAHA Paramedic Service, the opportunities for growth are boundless. Who You Are

Excellent assessment skills Strong knowledge of privacy legislation Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to multi-task Experience with the Microsoft suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and/or HRIS is preferred Ability to work in a fast paced and constantly changing environment

New hire immunization record review & record keeping Health & Safety assessments Flu clinics Mask fit testing Return to work programs Data entry for WSIB and STD Conducts administrative duties for the Manager of People Safety & Wellbeing Maintains employee records and statistics of clinic visits Actively participate, implementation, and maintenance of health & safety policies Develop Return to Work plans & Accommodations

What You Bring

Bachelor of Science in Nursing required OHN (Occupational Health Nurse) certification BLS Excellent assessment skills Strong knowledge of privacy legislation Current registration and in good standing with College of Nurses of Ontario Ability to communicate in the local native Cree language is an asset
