Key Responsibilities
Labour Relations:
Promote a positive working relationship with our Union partners
Maintain records in Workday (HRIS) pertinent to Labour Relations
Assist in the administration of the Attendance Management Program
Perform ad hoc and standardized data reporting
Assist in the documentation of Labour Relation processes
Support WSIB Case Manager with data reporting/administrative excellence
Responsible for ensuring data accuracy in Workday (HRIS) - perform daily updates
Maintain Medical Restriction information
Frequent involvement with other stakeholders (i.e. Benefits, Payroll, Sun Life, IT, etc.) regarding employee issues, downstream data problems, or other pertinent matters
Assist with employee placement process (accommodations)
Generate ad hoc reports
Administrative tasks, as assigned
Required Qualifications
Enrolled in a Human Resources, Business, Commerce, or related degree Co-Op program, and in your 3rd or 4th year of study (experienced 2nd year and eligible Master students will be considered)
Must be eligible to work full-time (40 hours per week) in Canada and for 8, 12, or 16 months work term (2-4 consecutive semesters, longer term preferred) starting September 2025
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to manage highly sensitive and confidential information
Strong organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills
Highly adaptable and able to work independently and in a team environment
Fundamental computer skills including working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
