The Environmental Remediation Management portfolio supports the Government of Canada\'s commitment to a clean and healthy environment for Canadians. Innovative technologies, modern facilities and technical expertise are provided in support of the safe storage and long-term management of radioactive waste. Redundant buildings and infrastructure are decommissioned in a prioritized manner reducing the legacy liability and associated risks and site operating costs. Environmental remediation processes apply systematic risk assessments, based on sound science and remediation solutions that help ensure all activities are protective of the environment and human health.

This is an exciting opportunity for a business or environmental studies student to integrate business knowledge with environmental and sustainability responsibilities.

What you will be doing:

• Assist with planning activities to support risk informed and data driven decision making

• Assist with data analysis and cyclical reporting

• Assist with updating office SharePoint site

• Assist in developing solutions to effectively communicate alignment with strategic and business initiatives

• Assist in monitoring and improving adherence to the CNL short- and long-term planning processes

What we are looking for:

• Sound data management skills

• Computer and software proficiency (MS Office)

• Sound oral and written communication skills

• Understanding of business processes and project management concepts

• Capable of working independently as well as in a team environment

• Good internet connectivity for remote access.

Security clearance eligibility required: Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United States and/or the United Kingdom.
