What will you do?
  • Ensuring timely responses to employee questions and inquiries about employee benefits programs and human resources policies.
  • Ensuring data accuracy and maintaining a high level of data integrity in HR databases.
  • Providing employees assistance with disability, health and life benefits, paid time off, and retirement plans.
  • Preparing appropriate documentation and processing necessary paperwork for various HR programs.
  • Be an active contributor to not only your individual team, but to the RBC development community.
  • Constantly seek out better ways to do things, new tools, new technologies, new processes
  • Work as part of an agile team responsible for end-to-end delivery of business needs
What do you need to succeed?

Must-have
  • Excellent interpersonal and highly developed communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Creative and analytical thinker who is self-driven and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience or understanding of SAP and Workday software.
  • Ability to data extract, transform, and load processes with a variety of data types.
  • Ability to perform complex data analysis on large volumes of data and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Strong MS Office skills \xe2\x80\x93 Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
Nice-to-have
  • knowledge of Payroll legislation and fundamentals
  • Hands on experience with any payroll software
  • Good knowledge of labor legislation
  • Ability to learn and absorb new concepts (in business and in systems) quickly and apply new knowledge

Please note: This posting is for a 4-months Summer 2024 Student placement with a start date of May 2024, and end date of August 2024. In order to be eligible for this 4-months Student position, you must either:
  • Be returning back to school after the work term end-date of August 2024 ; or
  • If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in August 2024), you must require the full 4-months work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully.
RBC is committed to supporting flexible work arrangements when and where available. The successful candidate for this role will be required to be located within Ontario for the duration of the work term. Details regarding the specific virtual, hybrid, and in-office arrangements for this Integrated Learning/ Co-op position are to be discussed with the Hiring Manager.
