Number of Positions: 1

Duration: 4 to 16 months (beginning in May - length depending on successful candidate)

Discipline: University program in Communications, Graphics Design, or related fields

Year of study: 3rd, 4th year or higher

Location: Chalk River, ON

NOTE:

All students applying for student positions at CNL must be returning to full-time studies upon completion of their work term. Exceptions will be made for students who require a work term in order to graduate.

INTRO
Do you want to work on the cutting edge of nuclear safety and security research in support of Canada\xe2\x80\x99s commitment to its citizens and the international community? Then, come join the Safety and Security Directorate in the Science and Technology Organization at CNL.

CNL is looking for an enthusiastic, bright, and motivated communications or graphics design student to join the Directorate for a 4 to 16-month internship beginning as soon as possible to support the development of technical and promotional documents, as well as presentation material.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contributing to the development of technical documents, program reports, presentations, and promotional brochures.
  • Contributing to the development of internal communication and information sharing tools and processes
REQUIREMENTS
  • Currently enrolled at a University of good standing in a Communications, Graphics Design or related field
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to carry out research or independent study
  • Demonstrated ability to work in both in person and virtual environments
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong graphic design skills
  • Previous experience developing training material is a definite asset
  • Previous experience with desktop publishing (posters, brochures, etc.) is an asset
