Job Description




The Machine Learning Co-Op student is part of the AI Innovation team which specializes in building AI based solutions enabling both new vehicle features, and operational efficiency applications.

The role is suitable for individuals with a curiosity and initiative for deriving insights from data, and generating impactful business values! You will work in partnership with global teams in driving innovation and advanced analytics across the company. Also, you will be contributing to the end-to-end process of developing AI solutions from gathering data requirements, and building data processing pipelines to finding the best approaches to the problem and developing the AI models.

Thisposition provides access to rich in-vehicle and business operations data. Furthermore, a chance to contribute in a diverse set of vehicle feature development and business operations optimization projects involving a mix of data analytics based approaches as well as state of the art DNNs!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in a fast-paced agile environment to develop and deliver advanced analytics solutions
  • Implement a diverse set of techniques such as Statistics, Machine Learning, and other AI algorithms to push solutions with the best quality and highest performance
  • Work in collaboration with IT to deploy model and algorithms in a production environment

Additional

Qualifications:
  • Pursuit of a Bachelor's (3rd or 4th year), Master's, or PhD degree in the following areas: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Analytics
  • Eligible to work full-time (40 hours per week) in Canada and for 8, 12, or 16-month term (2-4 consecutive semesters) starting September 2022
  • Foundation and experience with Statistics, Probability, and Machine learning
  • Familiarity with supervised, semi-supervised, and unsupervised ML methods
  • Exposure in applying AI to one or more domains: Computer Vision, Natural language processing, Robotics, Operations research
  • Solid experience with Python
  • The successful candidate will be required to attest to, and be prepared to provide proof of, their vaccination status and that any job offer will be conditional on the candidate being fully vaccinated

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Tensorflow, PyTorch, and/or Scikit-Learn
  • Experience with data tools and ecosystems (Hive, Spark, etc)
  • Experience using Power BI, Tableau, and/or other visualization tools
  • Experience using SQL/NoSQL and knowledge in database management
  • Experience with UNIX tools and shell scripting
  • Experience with embedded and mobile applications
  • A valid Class G Ontario Driver's Licence, or equivalent out-of-province licence

  • Fundamental digital literacy including understanding of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
