1st Term Apprentice Waterproofer

Job Type:

Permanent | Full-Time | Onsite - Various locations across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Ontario

Reports to:

Roofing Site Supervisor/Site Foreman

Wage:

$35.24 per hour + benefits according to Union Provincial Collective Agreement (full-time position)

What You'll Do:

Inspect and identify areas that require waterproofing Prepare surfaces for waterproofing by cleaning, sanding, and smoothing Apply waterproofing materials using various techniques such as spraying, rolling, or brushing Ensure that all waterproofing work is completed according to industry standards and regulations Monitor and maintain the condition of the waterproofing system over time Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure effective waterproofing in all areas of a building

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

Hand-eye co-ordination Physically demanding; Bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, Large workload Repetitive tasks, overtime required, work under pressure, fast-paced environment.

Conventional and inverted built-up system Modified roofing system Rigid pre-formed roofing system Single ply sheet membrane roofing system

Job Requirements:

Minimum 1 year of experience in commercial flat roofing
