The DoubleTree by Hilton London is located in the heart of downtown London. This hotel is connected by a skywalk to the RBC place and is within a ten-minute walk away from the Covent Garden Market and Budweiser Gardens! The hotel has 323 rooms and suites, an onsite restaurant, a Starbucks, and 34,000 square feet in banquet and meeting spaces. This full-service hotel also offers a well-equipped fitness centre and pool and a fully equipped business centre.

Requiring 1st cook; must be available to work flexible shifts. Line cook and banquet experience of more than 5 years preferred. Previous experience working in a Hotel kitchen environment an asset.

Job responsibilities include but not limited to;

Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards. Date all food containers and rotate as per hotel standards, making sure that all perishables are kept at proper temperatures. Check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull, and line set up. Note any out-of stock items or possible shortages. Assist in keeping buffet stocked. Operate, maintain and properly clean deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron and flat top grill. Ensure rotation of stock and the storage of all food items in accordance with health & safety regulations. Perform opening and closing duties applicable to the position and be competent in the completion of all duties within the shift. Ensure all kitchen equipment/surfaces including knives are used/cleaned correctly and defective equipment being immediately reported. Be competent in the safe and efficient use of equipment. Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis. Perform any other job-related duties as assigned To provide exceptional customer service to all internal and external clients. To maintain standards of punctuality, uniform and dress code. To be aware of and comply with hotel policies and procedures. To adhere to all matters relating to hygiene, health, safety, and emergency procedures. To comply with WHMIS regulations and all Health and Safety policies and procedures. To ensure the use of personal protective equipment as appropriate.
