The YMCA of Three Rivers is looking for a dynamic and innovative Marketing and Communications Coordinatorto join our Philanthropy, Marketing and Communications team. You will be the driving force behind compelling program- level marketing and communications, playing a crucial role in delivering exceptional communications for the YMCA of Three Rivers. The main purpose of this job is to deliver exceptional program- level marketing and communications for the YMCA of Three Rivers. Your work will directly support revenue growth (both philanthropic and fee-for-service) and improve consistency across business units.
What you'll Be Doing...
This role requires a true generalist, capable of executing across various marketing channels and creative disciplines:
Creative Content Lead (Video/Photo/Writing):
You will create and oversee short and long form content, videography, social media content, newsletters, and email marketing for our operational areas. This activity aims to increase community engagement through compelling content.
Digital & Web Management:
You will coordinate key audience communications, including member e-news and managing social media and website content within the Y's brand. You will oversee advertising tools and platforms, including social media.
Strategic Marketing Execution:
You will create and execute compelling marketing and communications activations for various areas, including Health and Wellness, Child Care, and Community Services.
Creative Consultation:
You will engage with internal teams to advise and support creative production and marketing plans, ensuring coordinated strategic approaches to market activations.
Your Creative Thinking & Decision- Making
We are looking for someone whose creativity and attention to detail shine through:
Non-Routine Campaign Development:
You will be dedicating approximately
30% of your time
to marketing campaigns, which are non-routine and demand creativity, attention to detail, and collaboration to address the unique needs and varying audiences of each area.
Specialized Decisions:
You will be determining the right paid advertising channel for promotions, requiring an understanding of target markets, ROI, and outcome-based thinking.
Independence in Action:
You will have the freedom to make decisions on the formatting and content of minor publications (like posters and newsletters), selection of channels/media for a given project, and social media content without seeking supervisory approval.
What you will bring (Knowledge & Experience) ...
Education:
Post- secondary degree or diploma, preferably with strong experience in communications, design, and marketing.
Experience: 2-4
years of experience
in marketing and communications roles.
Technical Skills (Must- Have Generalist Tools):
Demonstrated experience with:

Marketing and design tools:
Adobe Creative suite, email marketing software (like Constant Contact), Web Design Platforms (like Wix), Canva, and online form building tools (like JotForm).

Digital advertising platforms:
Google Ads, Meta Ads, Spotify, etc.
+
Editorial functions
in photography and videography.
Writing & Legal Awareness:
You must have the ability to write compelling content in all formats and a strong awareness of Canadian communications requirements and legal obligations (such as AODA and CASL).
