Welcomes all agency visitors in a respectful and professional manner
Answers routine inquiries and makes referrals to the appropriate staff member
Operates and maintains a multi-line phone system by receiving telephone calls regarding all staff and sites
Checks central reception voicemail and CMHA Information voicemail and distributes emails to appropriate staff
Maintains updated meeting room and boardroom calendars
Accepts and distributes incoming and outgoing mail and packages
Asks screening questions and assesses eligibility for entrance to CMHA Niagara locations
Provides direction and protocols to follow if the individual is deemed unsafe to enter the building
Cleans and sanitizes high-touch points in the agency
Maintains the inventory of all office and cleaning supplies
Transports items within the organization as required
Works cooperatively with others to enhance organizational effectiveness
Other administrative tasks as required
Job Requirements
Successful completion of secondary school or GED equivalency
2 -3 years of employment experience in a relevant field including experience in a not-for-profit setting
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office
Well-developed skills in written and verbal communication and organizational skills
Certified in the following safety courses: Crisis Intervention (i.e. NVCI, Safety Care, CPI or Safe Management), Standard First Aid - CPR C - AED, and Suicide Prevention (ASIST) would be considered an asset
A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Screening (Police Check)
Must have access to a reliable personal vehicle
Current valid class 'G' driver's license
Bilingualism, particularly proficiency in French, would be considered a valuable asset
