We are seeking a Site Safety Coordinator to ensure safety performance on our Martensville, SK construction site. The role involves monitoring safe work practices and managing high-priority tasks. Strong communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks are essential.



What You Will Do:



Assist in the creation, development, implementation, and maintenance of company safety policies including safe work practices, safe job procedures, progress pictures and the site emergency response plan Oversee the safety performance of all on-site workers, ensuring adherence to safe work practices Advise on the selection and implementation of personal protective equipment (PPE) Complete safety supply requisitions and ensure compliance with Workers Compensation Board (WCB) regulations Manager and conduct site orientations and toolbox meetings for all site staff and contractors Monitor the safe use of heavy equipment while educating employees on proper operating procedures Report and document all near-miss incidents, injuries, and theft occurrences, implementing corrective actions and conducting thorough investigations Manage site inspections and serve as a liaison with Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) for the province of employment Provide safety reports to the Site Superintendent and designated head office staff Deliver internal training on Fall Protection and other safety certifications as qualified Identify safety hazards, advise on improvements, and recommend changes to enhance safety standards Provide internal training on WHMIS and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) Track and date all products and materials associated with MSDS Maintain records of equipment inventory and inspection schedules Recommend external training programs as necessary to ensure ongoing compliance and skill development

You Will Bring:



Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction industry Extensive knowledge of current Safe Work Practices and safety regulations Proven ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, demonstrating tact, decisiveness, and resourcefulness Exceptional attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy Demonstrates a strong work ethic and consistently contributes as a positive and proactive team
