QUALIFICATIONS:




Current Certificate of Competence from College of Nurses of Ontario Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification Current Non-violent crisis intervention (NVCI) Certification Gentle Persuasive Approaches (GPA) Certification Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) Certification Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing Certification an asset Minimum of 1-year experience in Mental Health Nursing within the past 3 years Satisfactory performance appraisal in current position if internal Excellent public relations, organizational and communication skills Able to work in a fast-paced multidisciplinary setting Documented commitment to continuing education through in-service, staff meetings and self-motivated learning Demonstrated leadership, problem solving, decision making, and interpersonal skills Experience in mental health trauma care is an asset Satisfactory Attendance if internal Commitment to Patient Care & Safety and Service Excellence Satisfactory vulnerable person's sector criminal background check
