QUALIFICATIONS:


Current Certificate of Competence from College of Nurses of Ontario Three years (minimum) experience of mental health nursing in a hospital setting required Training and practical experience in conducting crisis assessments and interventions Extensive experience managing and responding to a diverse range of psychiatric emergencies Demonstrated skills in bio-psychosocial assessment, mental status assessments, physical health assessments, differential diagnosis, treatment and transitional care of mental health patients Advanced skills in applying the skills of de-escalation and de-briefing High level of maturity, professionalism and acceptance of personal responsibility This position requires you to attend Crisis calls on day/evening shifts, as needed Good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to function as part of an inter-professional and cross-departmental team Psychiatric Certificate and Non Violent Crisis Intervention mandatory Satisfactory Attendance Commitment to Patient Care & Safety and Service Excellence Satisfactory vulnerable person's sector criminal background check
