ROLE

REQUIRED EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION(S)


Current Registration and Certificate of Competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario Certificate in all nursing skills required by the Department of Nursing in the assigned unit Current BLS Certification

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE(S)


Medication Administration Demonstrated skill at handling suicidal and aggressive, potentially volatile situations IV drug administration Insertion of Gastric tubes Flushing of PRN adaptors Subcutaneous portal insertion and drug administration

DESIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE(S) & EDUCATION


Minimum of two (2) years psychiatric nursing experience preferred
