Job Overview

The Youth Pastor plays a vital role in the spiritual development and guidance of the youth within our community. This position is responsible for creating an engaging and supportive environment where young individuals can explore their faith, build relationships, and grow in their understanding of spiritual teachings. The Youth Pastor will lead programs, facilitate discussions, and provide mentorship to help youth navigate their personal and spiritual journeys.

Duties

Develop and implement engaging youth programs that promote spiritual growth and community involvement. Lead weekly youth meetings, including Bible studies, discussions, and activities that foster a sense of belonging. Communicate effectively with youth and their families to build strong relationships and provide support. Organize and lead retreats, events, and service projects that encourage youth participation and leadership. Educate youth on biblical teachings, values, and principles through creative presentations and discussions. Provide mentorship to individual youth, offering guidance in their personal lives as well as their spiritual journeys. Collaborate with church staff and volunteers to enhance the overall youth ministry experience. Utilize public speaking skills to present engaging messages during services or special events. Write curriculum materials that are relevant to the interests and needs of the youth demographic.

Qualifications

Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate young individuals. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey messages and connect with youth. Experience in public speaking or presenting in a group setting is highly desirable. Ability to educate others on spiritual matters with clarity and passion. A background in hospice care or similar experience is a plus but not required. A genuine passion for working with youth and fostering their spiritual growth. Must possess strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with youth, families, and church members. A commitment to ongoing personal growth in faith and ministry practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,500.00-$55,500.00 per year
