Our Lyra Program is seeking a full time contract candidate for the role of Youth Support Caseworker.

Salary $48,124.00

Expected Shifts: This role requires a flexible schedule, shift expectations are 8-9-hour days, however the schedule may vary between Monday - Friday and Tuesday - Saturday.



Program Information:



The LYRA Program is designed to teach youth independent living and life skills to assist them in preparing for adulthood. Youth are provided with the necessary support and skills to assist them in being successful in an independent placement. The SIL program offers two workshops each week to focus on social skills and independent living skill-building. We facilitate one cooking class each month as well as a weekly hot lunch program where youth can come in throughout the week to have a fresh, home-cooked meal. The program supports youth in attending appointments and maintaining their educational or employment programs. We are a contracted program through Children and Family Services providing positive relationships, support, and guidance to youth in care.




Role and Responsibilities

:



The Youth Support Caseworker's responsibilities include facilitating weekly Lyra workshops, developing hands-on programming material, completing Life Skills Assessments with each youth and teaching independent living skills. Youth Support Caseworkers are required to support youth in attending appointments and maintaining their educational program and/or employment. Reporting on monthly goal progress, completing on-going assessments, and weekly activities updates to the Program Manager and Children and Family Services along with working as part of a team within the program and Children and Family Services to ensure the overall success of the youth.



The Youth Support Caseworker should implement the MPCSSN Culture Code into their daily activities (Make an Impact, Commit to Continuous Growth, Cultivate Authentic Experiences, Take Ownership & Pride, Celebrate All Wins)




Must have




Completed Degree or 2 Year Diploma in Child and Youth Care, or related human services field.

Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver's License

Driver's Abstract

Clear Criminal Records Check

Clear Children's Service Intervention Record Check.

Vehicle Insurance stating $2 million liability and access to a reliable vehicle
